I took mine in (dealer) last week for an inspection, oil change and tire rotation. When I left I notice the TPMS light was on, I didn't bother took much about it as I thought maybe one of the tire was a couple psi low. Well, today I had some free time and went to check the oil and tire pressure and to my amazement, the oil level was OVER THREE INCHES above the Full mark and all four tires were 10 psi below what I had before I took it in! I'm going to complain about this the next time I go there.
I am not a dealer tech, nor a mechanic, but too much oils is not good. It will cause your seals to leak. I would go back to the dealer and get them to fix this ASAP.

I'm a dealer tech. Here's what I'd do. First, I know the new oil is very clean on the stick.
Are you certain that it's 3" above the full mark?
OK then, call the sevice manager and complain. Explain to him the complete story. Then tell him you're affraid to drive it in.
Either a house call or a flat bed are the only options.
The ya-hoo's they're hiring in the quick lube departments today need their daily wake up calls.

Yes I am certain. The HL was sitting for 2 days when I went to check it and I literally check the dipstick at least 5 times just to make sure and it was always this much higher than the full mark _____________________________
I kid you not!

Well, its kinda too late now. I took matters into my own hands yesterday

I would still lodge a complaint with them. Maybe they will give you some free oil changes, but then again, maybe you don't want to go there again...free or not.
It could be worse...many years ago, I got an oil change done and the opposite happened...not enough oil was put in. Luckily, I caught it before the engine blew, but I had a terrible knocking sound after that. Luckily, the car was leased.

The reason we go to these dealers because we thought they can be trusted but now they are just as bad as some of the quick lubes places. Now we don't know who we can trust. "If you want things done right, you have to do it yourself."
