Window Vibration from Wind

When my windows are rolled down at certain positions the wind causes a massive buffeting vibration in the cabin. It is so intolerable that I have to immediately move the windows up or down to eliminate it. I'm wondering if the glass is too loose in the door and thus vibrating at resonance. Has anyone else had this problem?

It's just the wind. The glass has nothing to do with it. The buffeting you feel is air pressure. It's a very common issue on cars with a sunroof.

Or will occur in almost every vehicle if the front windows are rolled up and the rears are partially down. It's normal.

I think one of the bolts that is securing the window pane has shaken loose; the driver side window is loose. I have to go to the dealer tomorrow to see if they will fix it under warranty. If not, I guess I have to do it myself.

WARNING! DO NOT DO THIS!!!! Majorly painful when we roll our front windows up and didn't realize our daughter had her window down in the back seat.

I should have said it's a normal aerodynamic effect, but not advisable for personal comfort.

Update, the dealer confirmed what I suspected; the mounting bolt was loose and I don't know whether the window glass chipped but they replaced the window glass while fixing the loose bolt. All were done under warranty.

That's great! Maybe what you were describing was not what we thought it was all along. Hope that solves it for you.

Well I misread the hell out of that then. I guess the "update" threw me off.
