Wheel and tire question

Hi everyone,
I am trying to order some winter wheels and tires for my inlaws 2010 highlander limited. On discount tires website i can't get the option for downsizing to 17" so i selected the base highlander to see the wheels and tires that fit. Can someone tell me if the bolt pattern and everything is the same between the base and the limited? We want to downsize to get more aggressive tire options for winter. I would assume 17's would work on a limited since the base comes with 17's..but didnt know if brakes or anything were different. Discount tire is closed right now or i would just call them..
thanks for the help..
Jon

You should try doing a search on this forum for winter tires, as there has been lots of discussion on this topic. Lots of people opt for the 17" Rav 4 steelies, and apparently, they fit. I just had my mechanic set me up with 17" rims, with the base tire size, and he ordered them and they worked fine. When you order them, I would tell them your vehicle make and model and the tire size you plan on using, and they should set you up. There are a few threads in this forum that have the actual wheel size details noted. I believe they are 17" x 7.5" wide, or something like that. I'm not familiar enough with wheel size details, which is why I went to my mechanic to set me up. Good luck.

Bolt pattern 5 x 114.3 on both.
19" OEM wheels are 35 offset, not sure about 17" OEM.
17" should fit on your Limited, they fit on my 09 Sport which came with the 19" stnd.

Good site for bolt patterns, offsets, threads:
