Foglight Installation help please!

Hi, am new to the forum, and i have a Q
i have Toyota highlander 2008, base sport, i was looking to install my new foglight (housings and bulbs) pair as the car doesn't have them originally , so when i pluged the light bulb trying to see if it is gonna work or not, it didn't, everything is prewired and i thougth its gonna work with the low beam light but it didn't even with the high beam switch, i also looked at the fuse box and it was ok, i don't know what's going on, why those wires and lightbulb sockets are there then? is there any hidden switch i couldn't see today?

I have a brand new light stalk for sale. I am not pre-wired thus unable to use it.

Link and pix here:

drahmed981 you might want to have a look at this thread:http://rav4world.com/forums/viewtopi...=285451#285451 While I know it concerns the RAV4, I think it will give you a better idea of what you may be up against if you decide to change the STALK on your H/L.

Good luck!

You might want to look through this thread for more information. In particular, use the "search this thread" feature to narrow down what you're looking for. I don't know much about the fog lights, but reply #123 might have some info pertinent to your request.

drahmed981, the pre-wiring does not mean the fog light will be turned on along with the low beam; you need to install a separate switch on the dash or get the light switch stalk per the link that TD gave you. There are tons of info there for the installation.
