Roof mounted cargo rack

I searched our 2nd gen HL forum but no one seems to being using one of these roof mounted cargo rack yet. With 7 passengers in our HL there just isn't anymore rooms left for cargo/luggage. I am thinking about this: http://www.discountramps.com/roof-lu...LAID=553653711

I have no previous experience with roof/hitch mounted stuff. I wonder if this type of crossbar connector is worth to spend $100. Or I am better off go for the one that connects to the side rail instead...

That unit is very similar to one that my brother-in-law mounted on his Armada. Damn thing slid around at the u-bolt interfaces, and it wasn't till I came up with the idea of using sections of garden hose to mount with the u-bolts that the basket would stay in place. Just a friendly suggestion for anyone who uses a luggage rack and encounters the same problem with sliding.

Yakima Loadwarrior

I've used the Yakima Loadwarrior for months now for the exact same reason. Install is straight forward. The clamps on the Yakima prevent it from sliding around. Although it is somewhat expensive, it is very well built and holds enough for family trips around the state and in the snow.

Hmm....this one sounds to be potentially unstable. I have seen the yakima one, indeed very solid. I guess I will wait for a good deal pops up. Retail is kind of expensive for Yakima or thule racks.
