USA 09 Highlander door issues..recall

Toyota should recall 09 Highlander driverside doors, wind blew my door open and it streched the hinges... went to Toyota dealer 4 timeseven had a field tech look at it,,, nothing they can do..

My wife had this happen twice with a nissan minivan we owned a few years ago. She now faces the front of her car into the wind when parking on windy days.

I do the same thing. Not because of us, but because anyone like the OP or has kids that parks next to us will have their door fly into the side of our vehicle. You already take your chances in parking lots, but not parking facing the wind is just rolling the dice...

I did that the SAME day I got my 06' Grand Cherokee.. door bent back and would pop and catch the front fender. Learned my lesson, didn't blame Daimler Chrysler.
