2008 Highlander radio problem

Ok, I have a 2008 base Highlander with the stock radio/MP3 player. A few weeks back while I was driving I heard a soft "pop" and the radio turned off. I turned it back on and all the settings I made were lost. All was well until a few weeks later and it happened again...

Is there a fix to this? Fuse? Do I need a new radio, etc? BTW, I made no changes to the vehicle in about 8 months.

You need a new radio. I have had 4 radios replaced in my Highlander since 2008. I think they finally got it fixed.

Same here. I had to replace my radio unit 3 times.
I just had to go in multiple times. At least it was free.

2009 Radio Problems

OK so I’m not the only one. The stock radio in my '09 HL has started to act up. On 3 or 4 occasions the volume knob will not respond. You can’t turn it on or off or adjust the volume. I tapped it twisted it and swore at it and it just started working. Anyone else had this problem? Which curse word fixes it ‘cause I hate dealers!

I just upgraded my 2month old 2010's stereo and have the original unit for sale. If any one is interested, please PM me.
