Problem with DAC
Last night I was coming down a steep, snow covered hill where I NEEDED DAC. I'm aware that when you use DAC you have to push the button (next to the SNOW button) and shift down to first gear. I did these two things and it worked great. The second time that night the snow was deeper, went up the hill with minimal wheel spin, on the way down I did the same thing, DAC and 1st gear but when I pushed the DAC button it made a loud BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP which lasted for 10-15 seconds. It wasn't the friendly "ding" that it usually makes if you try to engage DAC in the wrong gear, it sounded like the BEEP BEEP the transmission makes when you try to downshift to 1st and it's locked out except this time it was longer. I turned it off and conquered the hill myself.. any idea why this happened or what made it do this? It's working fine today? There were NO lights on the dash besides the green DAC car going down the hill light...
