tires and Versado update?

Hey all, sorry for another tires? post.

Wish my first post could be more exciting, but our '08 FWD 'lander is in need of new sneakers. Not crazy about the Bridgestones that came stock and want to try something different.

Have searched the forum and read a bunch of reviews for all the options out there, but still not completely sold on any.

It is our family vehicle so quality and safety are more important than cost. If cost were out of the equation, what tire would you go with?

Thank you for taking time to respond, Chris.

*oh, anyone have any miles on Toyo Versados?

to the nation, Chris! First questions from me would be: What kind of driving do you do...what are your needs with your Highlander?

Thanks for the welcome.

My wife drives it primarily to run errands around the city, usually with my daughter in tow. We average about two 200 mile weekend trips a month, and one or two 1200 mile trips a year.

I got new Versados from Toyo in a deal to replace my A20s which wore too quickly. However, the snow flew and I swapped to my winters before I had them installed and could test them out, so unfortunately, I can't give you any feedback.

Few reasons I chose Versados: I had to stay with Toyo due to warranty claim; I wanted to keep the stock size (same as spare); read good reviews on other forums.

Also, Toyo told me the Versado CUV is essentially the same as the Versado LX, which received good ratings.

Frankly even if I had an opinion, it would be just that. Everyone has their own. I read forums to get a general sense of opinion, but also called many local tire shops to get their take on the Versado as a quality tire, especially compared to competition, and they all gave the Versado positive reviews. So, I bit the bullet.

Cheers.

EDIT: forgot to mention that I wanted a quiet tire, and given I have a separate set of winter wheels/tires, ability in the snow/ice was not a factor. Presume the latter is not an issue for you either given your location.

I just replaced the Bridgestone junk on my 08 with Michelin LTX AT2's. You will not be disappointed with these tires. They are top rated for tread wear and are far quieter than the Bridgestones. Plus, here in Massachusetts we have plenty of snow and these tires are unstoppable in it. Costs a little more but worth it IMO.
