Headlights dim when spinning tires or losing traction

Strange, happened a few times and because its so quick (only lasts a split second), I thought it was my imagination. But did it again tonight, and it was more noticeable because the roads are snow covered which really reflects the light. I had my wife in the car to corroborate.

When I accelerate from a stop, and if I spin my wheels in the snow (sometimes intentionally, sometimes not ), I will notice my headlights (and fogs if on) dim slightly, but noticeably, for 1/2 a second. I thought it might be the traction control kicking in, but It has also happened before the traction control kicks in.

Got to do some more trial and error to try to pinpoint when it happens, but has anyone else noticed this? Any ideas why this is happening and whether it's normal?

Cheers.

Mine does it too, mine will do it when I pull up on the window switch and the window is up already.

My '01 HL does the same thing when the anti-lock braking system engages.
