This especially affects my wife as she has more trouble than I do, but we no longer have to worry about the sand/road grime that gets our pant legs dirty when exiting the vehicle (a very real problem if you live in snow country). I feel like the HL designers really paid attention to the pitfalls of living in snow country and found a way to make entering/exiting the vehicle less of a hassle.
By extending the doors down further and adding an additional rubber strip at the bottom of the door, they successfully found a way to keep the elements off both the top and outside surfaces of the door sill. No more worries about cleaning the HL unintentionally with the pant leg when exiting.

I would never have thought there was a way to design a vehicle to prevent this...nor would it even have occurred to me if I were a vehicle designer...and I live in snow country! Toyota, give that person a bonus! Now, please implement this on your other vehicles...especially the Tacoma.
