2011 taillights on a 2008

Hey everyone, my wife came out from the supermarket and someone backed inot our car cracking the tail light...I have a 2008 but since I need to replace I was thinking of replacing both and either getting the hybrid tails for the 2008 or going for the new 2011 tail lights since I really like how they redesigned them. From just looking at them they look like they would fit but I I want to see if anyone has done this just to make sure.

I'm also having a tough time finding a pair besides the dealer. (too much $$)
