I've searched a lot for a good Wind Visor and finally got a Westin in channel visor. But I ended up returning it. It created horrible wind noise since it was in the channel and interfering with the window and my driver side window wasn't happy about it since it thought something was stuck in between occasionally when I rolled it up so it would roll down. But the stick on ones looked so cheap I didn't want to even bother until I found this one.
This one is OEM style with tape plus brackets to secure the visor. It has the best build quality I've ever seen on an after market visor so it looks great and works great. Installing it took about 10 minutes and was really easy. If anyone is interested, I got them from ebay user mazda_pro_shop. The product was manufactured in Taiwan and shipped to me from China. It took about 10 days for me to receive it. I am including some pictures.
The front install without any drilling. The rear required one hole to be drilled but it was easily drilled without removing the tire as it was on the outer rear attachment to the wheel well. Took less than an hour to install all four. They all attach with hardware included with the kit. When you finish, it looks just as if factory installed.

Hi, I'm thinking of getting vend shades/wind deflectors for my '11 HL. There's 2 types on the market from what I can see.
1. those that stick on. Toyota's are this type
2. those that slide up into the window channel (and uses 3M tape)
Are these the same? i.e. does the Toyota ones slide up into the channel?
If not, any experience with either as to how good they stay on?
Hi! I have weathertech in-channel wind visors on my Highlander (Sandy Beach Metallic). In my opinion it looks good than the stick-on Toyota visors. If you're looking for hood deflectors as well check AVS for those clear/transparent ones. I'm not sure if they already have deflectors for 2011's but they do look good especially for the color of our highlanders. Congrats!

+1 on the WeatherTech in-channel wind deflectors. I bought the smoke colored ones for my silver 09 and it has worked great so far. Only issue is that they're a little expensive...a bit over $100 for all four windows.
Kudos on the hood deflector, nuvi! That piece looks great!
How easy/hard was it to match the OEM color? Can you give some details on your color matching and prep work please?
