08 TSB's

Have an 07 Tacoma so am familiar with the run around a dealer can give you with getting certain TSB's done. With that being said I am buying the wife an 08 Highlander AWD.

What TSB's are on the 08 Highlander that I need to check for? I am going to have the dealer perform any of the TSB's needed on an 08 as part of the purchase deal. Link, TSB # or name\description I can search for would be great.

Some that may be worth knowing about.

TSB-0314-09 HVAC system oder
TSB-0321-08 Oil Leak from Camshaft Housing
TSB-0229-09 Brake Booster Rattle/Buzz Noise
TSB-0331-08 False Security Alarm Operation (the alarm goes off for no reason = bad hood latch switch)

If you hear a clunk when you turn a corner sharply it is probably the intermediate steering shaft needs to be replaced.

And the BIGGY...The recall on the VVTI oil line. You should find out if this has been done.

This is the only one the dealer should check for.

The other ones I mentioned are only for point of awareness and are VIN specific.

The dealer can run your VIN to determine what Campaigns are specific to your HL.

TSB's are bulletins for service techs and not recalls but it helps to be aware of what is out there in case you have an issue to see if it is covered.
