2008 Highlander 17" Toyo tire replacement

Hi All, just want to share my experience with the tires replacement on my 2008 Highlander Base model. The original OEM Toyo A20 tires (245/65R17) only lasted about 25k miles on my HL before I had to replace them. The tire tread depth was down to 4/32 and the tire rubber is tearing/ripping apart all over. With all the recent snow/rain/ice storms, I was slipping & skidding on the road.

Anyway, I recently replace all four of the Toyo with the Goodyear Fortera HL tires (60k warranty, A, B). They were very good brand name tires at a very affordable price. I got them thru Sam's Club at $92.22 a pop. These tires seem to be as good or better than the oem Toyo's. Hopefully durability will last twice as long.

**P.S.>> there is currently a rebate of $40 from Goodyear as well.**

Wow nice price! All the prices I'm looking at online are atleast $500 for a total of 4.

How is the ride quality and quietness compared to the old tires?

Yes, I have been researching for a while before I found these Fortera tires. All the comparable ones are at least $150 each & some are lesser brands.

The tires definitely seems to handle a bit better & a bit quieter than the old Toyo A20s and no more skidding/slipping.
