2011 Highlander Nav question

My 2011 Highlander Limited is now 2 weeks old and I love it. I do wish they'd quit making them bigger & bigger..... anyway, the navigation system seems pretty user-friendly, but I cannot figure out how to tell it to stop navigating!! I was demonstrating it for a friend yesterday and told it to take me home, and all day I had to listen to it trying to take me home!! Can anyone help?

Along the bottom opf the map screen is a row of touch buttons, including a button labeled "route" Press that and the on the next screen you will see three touch buttons to the right of DESTINATION. touch "delete"

Other way is to push the MENU button ( actual button) and then select suspend guidance on the screen that comes up.

Third way is to use the voice command "delete final destination" as the spoken command

A fourth way is to go into "Setup", then "Voice" and you can turn the voice guidance off as well.
