Bought '11 Sandy Beach Limited last night
Bought a 2011 Sandy Beach Limited last night. Traded in our 08 HL Limited. I'll be removing the bug sheild and tow hitch/harness from it today. The 08 is a great SUV, but me and it just had bad juju. I kept putting scratches on it. Never had such bad juju with a vehical before. So I had them taken out by the dealer. We looked at an '11 4Runner, but a) it was a rep car w/5K on it b) salesman wouldn't deal much and seemed a bit of a weasel. That was last Thurs. This Thurs we get an eMail and snail mail flyer from the dealership on up to 4K over fair trade in value (08 was in excellent cond, except had scratches fixed...oh, and needs new tires as the Duelers suck). We decided we like HLers better and figured what the heck, we'll go, get a price, and either trade in or walk out and keep the 08 and I'll be very carefull around it. I told the salesman about my experience from prev week (it was not good and the salesman was full of crap) and to give me the numbers on the Sandy Beach one on the showroom floor... he hit my price points so I popped. Has nav which 08 doesn't. Getting the crimped door guards put on and picking it up Tuesday. Wanna also put side moldngs on it like I did to the 08, and I think the exhaust tip. It sat there calling out to us.... :-) Ahhh... fate.
