Hi, we picked up our 2011 Sandy Beach HL Limited last night. Got some Q's for the group...
I put OEM side moldings on our 08, and want to do the same with this one.
My wife noticed there are Sandy Beach side moldings with a chrome stripe along the top on various sites.
Anyone get or think about these? Sorta goes with the chrome running along the bottom of the doors. I'm not a huge chrome fan, but it might look nice.
I removed my OEM hitch from the 08, but read the '11 hitch is a different part number. Anyone know the diffs between the two hitches? Is the newer one better/stronger? I'll at least need a new hitch fascia since the 08 is longer than the 11.
On this Navigation system... I didn't ask about this at the dealer, and kinda bummed the book doesn't mention adding your own POIs from a POI download site. I have every Elks Lodge, Walmart, Free ATM (for us), etc. in the country loaded on my $150 Garmin from poi-factory.com ... is there any way to load POIs onto the HL's Nav? I read the threads on Torrents and Seeds ... what are they? I'm pretty PC savvy, but have no clue on what these are. Is it possible to load POIs on by adding them to a DVD version?

You cannot add POI's to the current map. The threads about the Torrents are about upgrading the maps on the older models. You already have the newest map.

Congrats on the 2011...hope you enjoy it! My '06 was similarly colored.
Glad to see you use their POI's. I created a few myself (PD, FD & golf related) over there. It's a shame that POI's can't be uploaded to most - if not all, OEM Nav systems.

Yep, adding the POIs really help on trips - like the list of free ATMs from our credit union. I did find a bunch of Elk lodges in the HL Nav. :-)
Well, so far the bug 08 Bug Shield doesn't fit the 11: Toyota redesigned the holes under the hood. And the lower hitch fascia is different. So new bug shield and possibly new hitch is needed. I'll prob be selling both on Craig list.
We ordered the side moldings with the chrome stripe from SportWing. Should go nicely with the chrome door handles and lower door molding.
