Roof Rails

I have a 2008 base model without roof rails. Has anyone installed roof rails on a base model. Do you know where I can get them? I think it looks unfinished without them.

You might be interested in reading this thread. Looks like member mbrem has a Base model and install rails. You might also want to search more in this forum using only "rails" as your only search term.

Just out of curiosity is there holes drilled for mounting the rails?

I bought a 2009 HL (base model). It did not come with roof rails. I bought aftermarket ones from a retailer on amazon. they're built similar to the OEM rails. Didn't have issues with the fitment. It worked perfect. bought mine for $220 which included shipping. the base models don't require drilling. there is a mounting system already built on top of the car...hope this helps.

Rnaodalo,

How well did the covers sat on the each ends of the roof rails? I bought similar product from Ebay the rear covers won't stay on. What color did you get?
