Does anyone know where the 2011 Highlander is assembled/manufactured in???

I'll play it safe and say somewhere in North America! If you look at the VIN you could tell immediately, i.e., if J is the first figure in the VIN then Japan is the country of origin. The numerals 1A, 4A , 5A = USA, 2A = Canada, 3A = Mexico, 3X = Costa Rica.

The first number/letter of my VIN is 5T....assume North America then?

I believe the 2011 Highlanders are manufactured in Princeton, Indiana at the TMMI plant. (Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Indiana).

All Highlander Models were built in Miyawaka, Fukuoka, Japan until the 2010 MY, in which the I4 and V6 production moved to Princeton, Indiana for 2010 MY and newer.

Highlander Hybrids are still built in Japan.
