Do the 2011 Highlanders have driver's seat memory?
I had a 2009 Highlander hybrid that unfortunately was in an accident and now have an insurance check to find my replacement car (yes totaled). The 2009 did not have driver's seat memory and it always really bugged me. In fact, my wife (which is 5'3") and I (am 6' 3") attempting to swap driving was a painful exercise as I had to spend the next 10 minutes getting the seating position back into the right place.
As I had mentioned in an earlier post, Toyota should have stepped up their game and installed certain things in their $40k Highlander. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the truck but it's little things like lighted door switches so you can see where the lock and window switches are at night, auto-down for all windows, maybe some rain sensing wipers. I went from a 99' cadillac seville sls which had all those features to an 11' Highlander, 12 years is a long time to make improvements. If I had the better model sts it would of had the memory seats that were spoke of above and H.I.D headlamps. I was looking for an suv and could've went for the new explorer for 40k which had all those features mentioned, but no one can beat that resale value of Toyota, they have the market on that one. That was the deciding factor for me, I'll deal with a few less little things. I'm still happy about the purchase of my Highlander.

Don't forget a thermometer for an outdoor temperature reading.

That's a real disappointment. Frankly, since this is a family car (we have kids), it is just a constant inconvenience to not get the driver's seat back to the right position within a few seconds after switching drivers.
It's the first significant annoyance I've had on this car (while I agree with others regarding lighting as well) that will unfortunately have me pass on purchasing another this time around.

Same here. If memory seat was an option, I would have included it in the list on my Highlander.

If all this stuff was in a highlander, Toyota would never sell a lexus. You want all that stuff, its in an RX350.
Cadilac is a luxury brand, toyota is not. Last time I checked an sts or cts is alot more money.

True, but my Toyota Sienna has driver's seat memory, and it cost less than my HL. To me, the omission of that feature on the HL is a major blunder.

Never said anything about luxury, what I was saying was if a car had those things standard 12 years ago, 12 years later they should be standard in most if not all cars. It's not asking much since those are simple little things. If you were to go to Ford and get a fully loaded Edge or Explorer(I'm sure no one considers those luxury vehicles) Ford gives you all those things if not more for the same price as a fully loaded highlander. Again resale value was the deciding factor for me, and so far overall I'm happy about the highlander. If major things start to go wrong then that when I'll have my real gripe with Toyota, (hopefully not knock on wood)

Since some of us here already have power seat, is it possible to do a diy without changing the whole seat? I know some car manufacturers have memory seat button on the seat itself to save cost of production....
Anyone???
