I fly electric model airplanes and for charging it would be great if the power outlet in the rear of the vehicle was always on. Anyone know if there is an easy way to do that? If not, I can always add a second outlet wired directly to the battery.

And before anyone asks, no I don't charge in the vehicle. I charge on the ground behind it

Yeah, that solution is what I was thinking. That, or if the outlet is separately fused (I think it is), I could make up a jumper with an inline fuse and a blade from an old fuse, remove the existing fuse, and jumper the output end of the outlet fuse position to battery. That would convert it to always on and preserve the fusing without any additional wiring required.
