I am looking to buy a 2011 HL Ltd 4WD and have been given a price of $35,418 from one of our local dealers. As stated, this is for a Ltd, 4WD, with the Carpet/Cargo Mats, JBL, Tow Prep Pkg and Crossbars. My question to you is does this seem reasonable?
Yup! That's about how much we paid for ours in the Pacific Northwest. That was with the Costco pricing. That's the one without Nav and DVD right?
We did add running boards and extended warranty, which bumped it a little bit more. However, your price is about what we paid for the exact same options.
Yep, that's without NAV or DVD...not interested in either one This was quoted as military/USAA pricing. Thought it was good just wanted to get input from those that have been researching longer than I have. Thank you!!

You also have to realize that the price/options/stock are different from regions to regions. Again it's a trade-off of how low can you go and get what you want.
We got the exact color combination and options we wanted for the price we thought was an ok to good deal. Could we have saved $500-800 more if we haggled and bought a car in a different exterior/interior color? probably. But we are the type who are willing to pay a little bit more for what we want exactly and expect no less.
In the end, if you are going to stick with the car for x amount of years, you should get what you want and not what you could bargain it for.

Any thoughts are appreciated!
Check it from American Express Zag network. For Kettering, OH (assuming you are really from there) I put 45429 as the zipcode (dont know how close it is to you) it gave me $34,951. Little better than what you got. Print that out take it to your dealer or contact the dealer listed in there.

That's including $500 customer incentive. You can either choose that or their financing.
For our region, this was either a $750 off or 1.9% 60 month financing.

Completely understand this and the quoted pricing is for a model in the color (int/ext) that I want (not settling in any way) as well as with the options that I want. I too would be willing to pay a little more to have this if necessary but definitely want to get the best deal I can without getting raked over the coals.

Thanks, I can get them down another $500 if I opt to take the customer incentive instead of the 1.9% financing (As mentioned by mctommy).
It is interesting how much the price difference is from region to region. Here in DC you can get an AWD Lim with NAV for $35,9K
yeah. When I was doing my research, I was looking at buying in southern california and bring it up here (my uncle did that some years ago and found it cheaper and worth it) but I couldn't find (or it was an option on the toyota website) a limited without Nav and the price difference wasn't that great to make it worth it.

I got my 2010 2WD Limited Blizzard Perl with NAV a year ago for $35K out the door. Also traded in my 5,5 years old 05 Solara for almost $10K which I paid $18,5K to purchase. So that was a good deal for me.
Seems like a reasonable price for the options spec'd. I live in NY and got the same for about 35,400 incl mud guards and door trim. On a side note I did ask or negotiate for the guards and trim, settled on price first, dealer had to find the truck due to color combo I wanted. Came with these goodies when delivered and dealer did not ask for anymore $. Very happy with car and buying experience.
