Pops and clicks interfacing to iPod?

Anyone else noticing sporadic pops and clicks (sometimes very subtle) when listening to their iPod through the 2011 Highlander USB interface? I'm still testing but it seems like they are not there when listening to the analog out from the iPod. That would tend to indict the USB interface?

I don't have this problem with an Itouch or Iphone through USB, I haven't tried a straight Ipod.

Well, that is interesting information. I'm using a Gen3 Touch, and I'm pretty sure the clicks are only there through the USB interface. But I need some more testing. I also have a Gen6 Nano on the way (free with credit card points) and it will be interesting to see if it does the same thing.

Unrelated, maybe, but I have also been having problems with the Touch playing back MP3s encoded with the latest Lame encoder. They tend to cut off the first couple seconds and occasionally skip. But that issue is 100% the touch and has nothing to do with the Toyota USB interface.

No problems noted on my wife's 2011 Lander and ipod/iphone.

Well, I'll wait and see how it works with the Nano when it arrives. In the mean time I made up a short right angle USB cord so I can keep the Nano in the compartment with the door closed. Odd that no one makes a right angle USB cord. But you can get the USB males from DigiKey and make your own by cutting a regular iPod cord short and replacing the plug with the cord coming out the side.
