USA Airbag light

Hi...I just purchased a 2011 Highlander 2 weeks ago and tonight I noticed the light that says "airbag" on the dash is on. Not sure if its a sensor problem or what it may be.

Just wondering if anyone has had a problem like this with their Highlander.

Thanks...

If your 2011 is like my 2009, there is a sensor in the pass seat and it only turns on the pass air bag and the light when there is an adult seated in it.

Mine always says airbag in orange and when someone is in the seat the ON lights up next to it and it almost seems like there is a little checkbox as well, when the seat is empty it just say airbag again.

The sensor in the seat definitely gauges by weight. Often when I'm in the desert and put my backpack on the passenger seat with the seatbelt not latched, if the backpack weighs more than about 30 pounds the airbag system for that side will automatically disarm. I never tried it with the belt latched just to see what it would do. Just an observation.
