Question Install a gauge for the temperature of the transmission oil

I tow a caravan of about 4500lbs. I would like to know the temperature of transmission oil. To do this, I want to tee hose fitting on the transmission to put a gauge(sender). But I do not know the size of the hose.

Does anyone know the size of the hose to transmission?

Thanks.

Love what those outside the US call a Trailer...
Caravan seems more appropriate when you think about it.

Have you looked at getting an adapter for the the Tranny drain plug hole as apposed to cutting into the oil line?

Yes, I have the probe is made to be in The tranny drain plug. But I'd rather have the temperature that leaves the transmission as the one in the oil pan.
