Canada Visor decals

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to remove the safety decals on the visors? They are butt ugly.. you break your neck trying to read them.. and reading them once is probably enough.

I tried to remove the decal on my previous vehicle 2000 Dodge Caravan only to find that there was even an uglier decal sewn into the material. Gluing it all back was less than satisfactory so I would like to benefit from some others experience. I don't care about the inside decals.. just the ones that are "in your face" while the visor is not being used.

Thanks for your time
Ralph

Mine are a part of the visor covering, making them impossible to remove. The decals in my Tacoma are starting to peal themselves. TBH, I don't even know what mine say.. I don't even notice them.

The drivers side "appears" to be just a decal as one can see the visor through the transparent parts. The one on the passenger side is solid.. in that there does not seem to be any transparent parts.

I know that in time one does not "notice" them.. One can get used to anything.. I would just as soon not get used to this.

I've seen a couple of threads the last few years that detailed how to remove those decals. Let me do a little searching tomorrow and post them up if I can find them. From what I remember is requires removing the visors, soaking them in hot water or some kind of solution, and then peeling them off......or something along those lines. I'll get back to you on it.

We just went over this a few months ago in one of the Tacoma forums on TW. Since removing stickers isn't model specific, figured this might help out (and if not, at least give you some good ideas on replacing it with a "better" sticker):

A "better" sticker might be an alternative if I mess it up

I've considered getting rid of those stupid, ugly, nanny stickers myself, but just never got around to it.
