I lost the keys to my Highlander and my Tacoma last week. I don't think they're lost, I just misplaced them so I'm not overly concerned with somebody making off with either vehicle, but I've searched
everywhere to no avail. ANYWAY, I need to get some new keys made.
Both vehicles have transponder keys and I have the 5 digit code that came with the keys for both vehicles. I'm probably going to go the eBay route because I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper. I have a remote for the Highlander kicking around (it came with 3 keys, 2 programmed remotes, and 2 un-programed new remotes that I found under the seat after I bought it). So I just need 2 keys and a remote.
When my Highlander was in getting some work done I had a brand-new 2011 Corolla as a loaner, it had one of those all-in-one keys and it freed up a lot of space on my key-chain and in my pocket, not to mention I didn't have to study my keychain to figure out which Toyota key starts which Toyota. I've been looking on eBay and a number of sellers are selling these all-in-one keys for the Highlander.

Looks great, the only problem is the FCC ID doesn't match the one on my remote, the all-in-one is GQ4-29T and my Highlander and Tacoma use GQ43VT20T.. can anyone confirm 100% that the Highlander will accept GQ4-29T remotes?
Also, has anyone gotten a key made for their Highlander? Did the dealer rape you with programming charges? It's gunna suck to bring each vehicle 70KM each way separately to the dealer to get a key made
