gained 2mpg?

hi,

can anyone confirm my results? I switched from toyota branded motor oil 0w20 to quaker state ultimate motor oil and got a bump on my mpg.

It's more likely that if you live in the northeast that it was the change back to summer blend gas.

I agree. My experience with summer/winter blends is 5% to 10% difference in mileage.

No, I have kept record of mpg since 09 and it can;t be the gasoline. Reason I switched the oil was because the engine was loud and vibrating using toyota oil, since using quaker state problem was solved. From what i have read on the bob the oil guy forum, toyota switched oil supplier last year, from unkown to mobil one. too sum it up there are diffrent classes of synthetic motor oil and its over my head how diffrent motor oil works. so if anyone willing to try the quaker ultimate and let me know how it goes, i would appreciate it.
