oil filter

Has anyone got a purlator oil filter for the 2011 4 cyclinder eng.If so what is all that BS that comes with it,a plastic tube and two gaskets and instruction you can't read and its a canister type fiter at that, Help

oil filter

Will I tried to get the filter off today and the hold fricken thing came loose at one time.That drain at the botton did not come loose and the canister came loose,I just cleaned it up and put the new filter in it and screwed it back on.No leaks and oil lites went out so I guess its good to Go

Most dealer service bays in my are do the same thing. They do not use the drain tool.

what do you mean the oil light went out? sounds like you were low on oil if a oil light was on that simply went off after the change...please give more detail
