'08 Base w/ chrome wheel skins?

Am looking at an '08 HL, which has shiny chrome spoke wheels. Actually very sharp. However....on closer inspection they are chrome "wheel skins". You absolutely would not know that they were skins until you touched them.

Can't find any photos in '08 brochures of the '08 Base, so can't tell whether it came this way from factory, or if no, what the factory 17" alloys look like.

Thoughts? Photos?

When you say chrome rims, you mean the entire wheel is chromed (like on some fords?)????
Anyway here is what a normal base rim looks like. It is definitely not chrome just a normal alloy. http://api.cdmdata.com/ImageServer/d...82061558-4.jpg

On e-bay they sell some kind of wheel skin that fits over the stock rim and makes it look like its has chrome rims, maybe thats what he is talking about they are made out of plastic and stick right on your rims....

Our dealership sells them as well, they're basically "hubcaps" over the rim. They're "chromed" plastic caps, they look great at a distance but a bit cheesy upon a closer inspection.

If you're looking at something cheap, this is the way to go, but otherwise I'd recommend rims.

Thanks for the reply and photo!

See my photo bucket--this is exactly what it looks like. I had mostly answered my own question this morning as to the "factory-ness" there is no "T" on the center cap. My wife really likes the chrome look, and I have to admit that for "skins" they are pretty well done. Not what you find in Walmart or Pep Boys.
