I currently have two different offers on the plate and wanted some input.
2011 Highlander Limited AWD, Navigation, Tow Prep, and floor mats
I can get a Blizzard White for 35,500 or a silver one for 36,000.00
I prefer the Silver but I'm not sure for 500 dollars more. The odd thing is that even though the white is an extra-cost option, the silver stickers for more (higher sticker price - 41,838 v. 41568).
I prefer silver over blizzard white. My 2008 HL is silver while our 2010 Venza is blizzard white. The white vehicle is harder to keep clean in my opinion--every bug in the universe likes to commit sucide on the front bumper/other front surfaces. Silver is more forgiving and requires less cleaning. I do like the blizzard white as it is beautiful when clean.
I remember hearing something about the blizzard pearl having more coats of paint or more coats of clear-coat so it drove up the price??? can somebody confirm?
I have a classic silver sport and I love it.. it's pretty good at hiding road dust, I defiantly don't miss having a black vehicle.. i also have a forest green tacoma and it also looks pretty good when it's clean.. shame it doesn't stay that way ;(

Blizard pearl! Silver is the last color I would pick. There are so many silver vehicles on the road. Nothing special about it. The blizzard pearl has two coats. It is basically metallic white. Not a matte appliance type of white.
The white is definitely pretty and a classic color, like black. I have owned practically every basic color out there and agree with the other poster that white is hard to keep clean. Road tar is the worst offender along with the bugs.
The best colors that don't show dirt bad are the grays, silvers and tans. Black, white and dark blues are tough to keep clean but are pretty when clean. Yes, silver is a common color and I do see more Highlanders in silver than any other color. Tough call as I had the same choice: I chose the silver with the gray interior.
Seriously, I have seen both, and they both look nice. Can't go wrong either way. White is classic, and always looks good. However, I would lean towards silver and get the front windows tinted to match the rear. It shouldn't cost more than $100 and gives you added UV protection...although I am not familiar with your state laws on tinting. The contrast of the dark windows against the silver looks really, really sharp...I have seen a few around.
Also, not sure why, but I find that the silver really accentuates the fenders on the HL more than any other colour, which is a plus from my perspective, but may not be for you.
Good luck!

I've never had anyone compliment the paint on any car I've ever owned, but I have to say I get one every two or three months with my Highlander. Most people say they like the variation of white that is the Blizzard Pearl, and that it has great depth to it as well. Just reporting what people tell me....

If you can keep the vehicle clean all the time then go with white if not then, Hi Ho Silver...
Actually, white looks the cleanest of any color when it gets dirty...If you do get road tar on it or sap just use NON_acetone nail polish remover and it will come right off. Not harmful to the clear coat or paint.
For $500.00 get the color you really want.... and enjoy.
My personal op..is White. The silver looks flat to me.

I think it looks best in black but if you live in the heat like me and Traildust, go white or silver. If you can't wash the darn thing every week, do not go black. It is just a preference thing. The other car I have is an Infiniti and that color is called Desert Platinum. It is a mostly silver with some gold specs making it a champagne type color but in the sun, it looks flat out silver. I did not want 2 silver cars but it was a toss up between the silver and white for me.
Thanks guys for the input. I am going to go with the Silver.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Just Kidding..
Congrats, and Happy Motoring...
