Sunglasses holder/conversation mirror?

I had it down to see my kid while talking with her and noticed it kind of helps with the passenger side blind spot like a wide-angle rearview mirror would. I know it's not a replacement for the sideview and checking the bilndspot but do any of you use it like I mentioned? Has it gotten you into trouble doing that (i.e. almost hitting a car)?

I've never used it for that purpose, but I do have those round wide-view mirrors affixed to both side mirrors. They've saved my butt many times double-checking while making lane changes, and they also help when moving in reverse to park. Food for thought.

I will give the conversation mirror a try. I've been using those little 2" round bubble mirrors on the side mirrors of every car I've owned for the past 20 years. It's nice to be able to see full views of the surrounding lanes. Once you get used to them it's tough driving without them.

I'm absolutely no nanny type and just talking about myself, but I still keep my head on a swivel and make sure to look over my shoulder while making any lane changes or backing up, and use my bubble mirrors as a "fail safe." Like I said, they've saved my butt more than once. BTW, does the Limited version of the Highlander have backup sensors?

nope, I wish it did though

I almost never have the conversation mirror down as it annoys me blocking the regular mirror haha. I've found the highlander's mirrors are better than most cars I've driven, but I just look over my shoulder instead of using special add-on mirrors when changing lanes
