Question about MFD (multi-function display)

i have kind of a stupid question i think, what is that screen that you guys have ? the one where the time is supposed to be above the center console ? and why dont i have one ?

I thought all models have a screen. I think the base model only displays time.

yes i do have the base model. but whats the screen for ? and is it possible to buy it ? aftermarket or oem ?

The one I have displays time and temperature at the top and the bottom side is a trip computer. Displays AVG MPG current MPG, miles left till fill up etc... It also displays warnings like which door is open, left sunroof open etc... or even if there is a problem with the car it displays there. I have the three zone automatic climate control so it also acts up as an information screen for that too. Since I have a the NAV unit that's about it for me but for the ones that doesnt have the NAV unit it also acts as a backup camera screen.

Created a new thread from the replies in the picture thread. Anyway, the Base model has the clock but not the multi-function display. There are aftermarket products and, kingba6, if you use the search feature and type in "MFD" as your only search term you'll find several past thread discussing MFDs and aftermarket products. Just additional info there for you....

thanks. i would of done a search but i didnt know the name of the display and now i know, thanks... i am going to search right now and see where i can buy this MFD from. thanks.
