What is that blank to bottom-right of steering wheel

In my HiHy there is a black rectangular blank below the PTS button. Also, behind that blank is a connector (has some electronics in it) that appears to mate with some connector; this connector is coming out of a WHITE 1.5in (38.1mm) convoluted tubing.

I just checked the 2009 manual; Is this a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (alarm?) for cars without MFD?

That is where (for non hybrid owners) the button to turn off VSC, TRAC, or both is located. Not being able to turn VSC/TRAC off is one of the reasons the hybrids are limited under certain traction conditions.

?? on my 2011 this black square "seems" to do nothing. My VSC and TRAC buttons are beside the gear shift on the middle console.
I asked the sales staff about this and they were absolutely no help.. which did not surprise me.

I'm not aware if they moved the VSC/TRAC button, but at least for the 2008 model year it's located where the photo indicates.

Pay no attention to them. That's where the mother in law eject option is installed. It's a little known option.

Are the Hybrid Base limited as well as the Hybrid Limited? If that's the case you would have a Hybrid Limited limited

Probably not, but he can hook you up with a mother-in-law STFU stereo system sure to drown out the old crone's voice.....
