Adding front AV input to 2011 with factory DVD/Nav

I just purchased a 2011 limited highlander with factory Nav and DVD. I've been looking for an option to install an AV input to the front without having to run wires from the back input. I've looked at the LockPick and Prestigious Society solutions, but not sure which one would work.

We have 3 boys and often drive 6 hours to visit the grandparents. I've placed all their movies on an ipod classic and set up a playlist so we don't have to switch out DVD's. In the past I had installed headrest DVD's in the vehicle which worked great.

I've looked through the forum, but if I have missed something I blame it on my poor search term skills.

Thanks in advance.

Mike

Hi, Mike, welcome to TN and to the Highlander forums as well.

Other members in the past have recommended Pac Audio for similar kinds of setups that you're describing. Don't know if they ultimately have what you're looking for, but just throwing it out there....

@TrailDust - Thank you for the reply and suggestion. I checked the site and looks like they have some good products, but nothing I could find had a video input, only audio.

I think I'm looking at a lost cause, unless I can find the wiring diagram between the rear A/V inputs and the DVD video screen. Otherwise, I'll have to run a cable from the back to the front

thanks again,

Mike

It was worth a shot. Hopefully one of our resident electronic gurus will be able to chime in with some info.
