security alarm problem

I have a 08 Highlander. Up to 2 months ago, I have had no problems with the security alarm when i lock the car with the remote. However, the alarms now goes off for no apparent reason. This has been occurring about once a week. Has this happen to anybody else (and have you solved the problem), or does anyone have any ideas to what to check to find the problem. Thanks.

I bought a used 2008 HL from an acura dealer last December. The alarm was going off for no reason. Even when the dump truck would pass by it would set of the alarm. One time a low flying air plane flew over and it set it off. I took it to a toyota dealer and they change out the entire alarm system free of charge. They told me the original alarm system was defective so they were changing them all out. Now I am a happy HL owner.
