In the photo the light on the right side looks purple but, I can see the texture of the concrete better. Left side throws a blue tinted light and the concrete is not as clear with respect to the texture being as clear. In the end this could all be do to the way you took the picture....

personally i will always pick the bulb closest to 4500k-5000k for maximum brightness and white color. so I would def pick 8k over 10k. Unfortuntatly blue light is hard on the eye's for seeing details as becks said when talking about the concrete. You will get more detail out of 10k, but that is just way to much purple for my taste (fyi there is a ton of glare coming out of those fogs, not good for other drivers on the road)

Hmm, blue is for looks (actually lowers the visibility as mentioned above), white is for seeing. Which purpose are you going to use them for? If strictly looks, I'd still pick the whiter light because I just don't like the looks of the blue lights.

You won't see crap in fog with blue HIDs in your fogs. In addition, you'd probably be blinding oncoming traffic because foglight housings were made to use with halogen bulbs and not HIDs. The best color temperature to use would be about 3000K (yellow) because they cut through fog better than blue light does.
