USA 2008 Highlander Alternator replacement

I have to replace my alternator, does anyone know which amp i should purchase, 100 amp, 130 amp, 150 amp ? My highlander is a 3.5 V6 4 wheel drive, also, do I need to move the coolant hose that runs past it, or should I not worry about that. Thanks

The stock is a 130 amp. If you got the towing package its 150 amp. Unfortunatly I have no idea about the hose that runs around it.
good luck

USA 2008 Toyota Highlander Alternator

Thanks a lot! I appreciate your help, do you think that putting a 150 amp alternator on now would be ok? even if i don't have the tow package on currently, but I plan on installing one. Or should I just install the 150 amp when I install the tow package? Thanks for the reply

having the extra amps never hurts. I'd say go for it. I imagine Toyota used the same size wires (that come from the alternator) in all highlanders (130 and 150 amp versions), so you shouldn't have to worry about too much amperage going through too small a wire. Plus even if they didn't 20 amps is not a massive enough increase to really worry about.
