It could be that one of the drains is clogged. If you park under trees, it's easy for debris to work it's way in. I believe there are 4 drains (at least there were on the 1st Gen Highlanders, but I suspect it's normal to have 4 drains). Anyway, at one year old you're still under warranty so take it in and have them see if the drains are clear.

The drain is not clogged, just little bit water drop in the gutter and drain out.
Definitely not normal especially with the drains clear. Sounds like a bad seal. Only time we've ever gotten water in was when we had it open (tilted up) in the rain and come to a stop after having been parked. All the water on the roof flowed forward and in/onto us! LOL. But with it shut, it never, ever leaked!

Does somebody have same issue? just want to know If with moonroof shut, it never leaked, so what the drained gutter designed for? and nobody open the moonroof in a rain day.
Only time I've had this issue is on a 12 year old lexus LX470 (bad seals), never on a newer vehicle. If your still under warranty, I would definitely take it to the dealership.
