Remote start for 2011 Toyota highlander limited

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a remote start for my 2011 Toyota highlander limited with smart key and I don't to want get factory(Toyota) one because it sucks. I had it on my Lexus, The distance rage was very less and I could not start it inside my home and I had go out to start the engine so I am thinking of getting viper remote start and I have few questions, Please answer them.

1.Which viper model do you recommend for highlander with smart key and I don’t mind carrying two remotes.
2. Did you guys notice any issues with viper installed on highlander?
3. if I get viper installed from bestbuy, will it void my warranty?

Kalva, I can't answer your questions. However I can say the my 2008 HL Limited's factory remote works great. I can start my car from 20 feet away. The 1 thing I don't like is that the car shuts off when I open the door (safety reasons).

well i only have the oem keyless entry on my HL but yeah on rav4 i have the viper 5902. it works great. i used the smart smart for about 1 year and it worked great. my rav4 did not come with any factory system so i did not need the bypass module (used if you have a previous alarm system) when i got my viper installed i also got the window roll down module installed. so i can manually put down my windows from the remote. the remote i have is the HD color lcd and the remote tells you temperature, run time, and all the settings. you can do autosmart start which is basically if the battery or temp. fall below a certain number it will automatically turn the car on. the range is GREAT! it works here in NY for 3 city blocks. which i think is freak awesome ! you can install a lot of addons and wire the alarm brain so you can control you lights to audio system. i havent had any problems with it. i feel like im missing stuff. but if anything else you want to know then let me know
