I discovered when I turn the high beam light on, the low beam light seem off. My father 2006 corolla the low beam still on when the high beam turn on. Does the drl used high beam light?

I believe it's the law in many states that you can only have one set of driving light on. So when high is on, low will be off.

What is even worse, the fog lights will turn off once you high beam... you end up having a lot less light on the road.

You would not use your high beams when it is foggy and it is the law that the fog lights must turn off when the high beams come on. You would also have to consider the load on the alternator if you were able to burn all the lights at 100% at the same time

I'd prefer that the low beams weren't on when the FOG LIGHTS are, but if they have to be on then let them come on when the parking lights are on as well. Give the driver the option of parking lights + fogs or low beams + fogs. Definitely NO DRLs + fogs!

I install two set of foglight on my last car Hond accord, never have a problem. I prefer turn the low beam and high beam on when I driving in a dark raining day with no car on road, but this highlander not allow me do it.
