2009 Highlander 4-Button Fob Programming

One of my 4-button fobs for unlocking my 2009 Highlander doors, open the hatch window, and alarm panic button went dead. I replaced the battery with the required CR battery. It still doesn't work.

I learned that the fobs have to be programmed by the dealer. I just called mine, Pearson Toyota in Newport News, VA. Service guy told me there's a $48 charge to reprogram the fob.

Really? $48?

Does anyone have the instructions for programming these things?

You need to take all the fobs with you for the re program.

$48 equals about an half an hour in my area.

Labor here is $99/hr

Make sure the battery is installed correctly...it shouldn't have to be reprogrammed after a battery change.
