How deep put down brake pedal to active hill start assist control? down to floor?

Push it down hard! It'll beep when you do it right. I've only activated it once by accident when I was pushing down on the pedal to get my wallet into my back pocket. Otherwise, it takes a firm push down to the floor to activate it.

Fairly hard, just keep pushing until you hear the beep and the Hill Assist lights up on your dash display. There's a link in the Common Problems & Solutions sticky thread called DAC, Snow, and Hill Assist Explained....just throwing that out there in case you haven't seen it yet.

Just apply more pressure on the brake pedal until you hear a beep. This will activate the hill assist.

It's tougher than that, not to worry. They design and test vehicles like this so that gorillas like me can abuse them and they'll still run fine. Go for it, push that pedal!
