Anyone seen the Toyo 11.1 2011 Nav Update for Gen5?
Greetings,
I on the usual quest for the latest Gen5 NAV update DVD for 2011. I see the DVD's are out for a Prius but I have not found any for the Highlander. Anyone found the 11.1 update yet?
Map from Prius (or any other Toyota) should work on HL... I can't wait for wider availability
Question: my 10.1 DVD is not accurate - it is generally off quite significantly - for example if you are looking for house 200 on street A, it will take you a wrong house in vicinity; and even you park right on the driveway, it will claim that it is actually house # 174 (for example)
Any calibration needs to be done? or possible?

If the gps shows you on the right part of the street your good, no calibration needed. I've noticed that house #'s in neighborhoods are off ttheir true location. My house number for my address according to the gps is like 10 off. I think the numbers are just off. But by the time it gets you on the street, you can just look at the #'s on mailboxes, its what I do.

Have you tried Navigon on a iPhone? without multiple sensors like our HL has, that thing takes exactly to the door, every time... hopefully the new map will be a bit more accurate...

The accuracy I can live with, though I do like having all the updated POI's and streets. There is a lot of construction where I'm at, and its nice not to be "offroading" according to the gps when I'm on those roads.
I don't have an iphone/smart phone (stuck in a contract waiting impaciently to get one ), I have a good old fashion slider from verizon. Though I have tried their navigation tool, and was not a fan of it (though probably my phones fault, small screen and pretty pathetic phone)

i wonder if loader from 5.1 will still work with 11.1... I cannot live without the manual override, even though I have press that annoying "I accept" every fr. time I start the engine
