Backup Camera sometimes does not kick in on reverse

Did anyone experience the following situation: you put the car into reverse, but the screen does not change and remains on the map?

So I put the gear in the reverse, and start actually backing up, and then I see that the screen does not switch to camera.
I put it back to drive and again back, and then it works. This behavior seems to become more and more consistent, esp. during the first attempt to backup.

Is it a known issue? Any ideas how to fix it?

Haven't had that happen to me...most likely just a loose wire somewhere?

Fun stuff too, one of those occasional issues that will never happen at a dealership!
