I don't think I would hear my windshield creak in the winter anymore

Really? Is there really a need for that much power? And I can't imagine how much noise pollution that creates when cranked. I'm glad you you don't live near me!
Man, I just don't get it. Freg, I MUST be getting old.

It's one of those things I'd never do myself (hell, I'm happy with the OEM CD player/radio......), but I appreciate the engineering and effort that goes into making these sound systems. Ingenuity is a fascinating thing to watch.....

this is for competition people wtf just put some pics so everybody can see
haha its just not many people here build big system's like that so its kind of a shock to see one. ESPECIALLY in a highlander
I have seen a lot of steve meades vids on youtube. His tahoe and all the other cars hes built and put video's online are pretty sick (and his tower speaker system in his garage). Even if I'm not a bass junky (thats why I only added an additional 8" to my cars audio system) I do appreciate the work it takes to do that. Plus my inner engineer loves to watch how all of the installs are done
So kudos on the install. I'm curious, I'm sure with all that wattage + extra battery system, you had to upgrade the alternator, how high of an amperage alternator did you have to use to give that system juice?

Funny, if I was 20 yrs younger, I probably would have been right into this. But ur right, I commend the OP's work to get all that equipment in. Just makes one realize how priorities change as we get older. That said, maybe as my hearing fades, a setup like this might not be a bad idea...

Very nice work but I don't think I will or ever want to do that.
I guess most of us come to HL will use it for family and space is important to us. Plus since it is a family car, big sound like that is no longer our top priority?
Holy crap! (not referring to quality of the setup of course) You can see my subwoofer in this thread. After seeing your photos, I feel, somehow, inadequate.
