2008 tail gate pistons

Any one replaced the tail gate lift pistons?

My tail gate does not open fully and I have to lift it up to the final position.

Beginning to wonder what the life cycle is on the lift pistons

Just had the ones on my 2008 replaced last week under the extended warranty

Yep!! Had the exact same issue and had mine replace under warranty:

Hatch stays replaced

Mine were replaced under warranty when they wre about 2 yrs old.
