I am looking at, a 08 Sport with Nav. and it has 67,900 miles one owner, which is what concerns me. I just wanted another opinion,if would better to pass on this one, and look for a low mile Highlander.THX
I would look for lower mileage HL. It could have been a commute car in excellent condition, but you will need to do some costly service sooner than later. I would pay more for low miles.
I would gauge what you may or may not know about the driver, the type of driving done on that vehicle, and how the HL was maintained. Use your better judgment, but I'd lean toward a lower mileage vehicle.

my 08 has 65k. the type of driving done before hand definitely matters. I bought mine with 40k 1.5 years ago, the previous owner did all highway miles, the thing ran like new. I still mostly drive highway and it still pulls/handles like newish car. Nothing wrong with a car with miles, as long as it was maintained

isn't it the general opinion that these trucks should hit 150k miles without major problems, as long as they are maintained/driven reasonably?
This is no longer a valid assumption with Toyota. Quality is not where it used to be. My 2008 HL had engine noise issue that required pretty extensive engine overhaul and spent 2 weeks in a shop, see here Weird noise after start-up
Bad part that few months after repair noise is starting to come back and I have under 40K miles on the vehicle.

so who is trending with better reliability than Toyota these days?
I wouldn't think buying a Highlander with 60k on the clock is a big gamble as long as the maintenance records are accurate and complete
