Could you please advise what it might be. My radio lights are blinking first 10 min after I turn on the car (other lights are fine). Battery is brand new Optima and I do have after market xenon headlights. The dealers keep saying that this is due to aftermarket lights drain the battery but the lights are off when this happens
What do you mean by blinking, could you be a little more descriptive on what/when its doing this? aftermarket ballasts do give off some electrical interference that can mess with equipment, but can't be sure as I'm not quite sure as to what your radio is doing... kinda confused on the whole draining the battery plus blinking light problem...

Hi, Thank you for reply. These are lights that show Radio FM, station etc. This happens when I start the car and lasts about 10 minutes...then lights are become normal and steady.
sounds like it could be a problem with the headunit. Does any other lights on the car do this? Also do you have the HID ballasts mounted next to the fuse box or relay box? If not you could take the HID kit out and see if it continues, if so take it to the dealership and let them see it without the HID kit
...I still don't understand how they dealership says it is draining the battery.... Is your radio working during the lights flickering, or does it shut off (indication of low voltage)? Have you had a problem with the battery being dead?

Thank you! HID mounted close to the battery side. No any other lights acting the same as the radio....Blinking goes away after 10 min drive and if I'll take it to the dealer they can't find the problem
Only way to confirm headunit issue and get the dealer to work on it would be to remove the xenon kit, and put the halogen bulbs back in long enough to get the dealer to fix it. If it won't blink at the dealership, get a camera and record the blinking lights AND record that you have halogen bulbs in the same recording. That way they can't blame it on the xenon bulbs, and they will see the problem.
